Paul Jamme has been a licensed independent builder in South Carolina since 1994. Jamme Construction, LLC launched in January 2010 and specializes in home remodels, home building and construction of ADU's (Accessory Dwelling Units).

Paul Jamme was born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia. His earliest construction experiences were summer jobs with local contractors where he learned the basics of the infrastructure, commercial and residential construction businesses in some of the South's most remarkable zip codes. Paul graduated from Towson University in 1983 and took a job in sales. After three years of sitting behind a desk, he took off the necktie and strapped on a tool belt.

Paul cut his teeth on all types of projects, but after a year in the construction business, he made the decision to work exclusively on custom homes. He moved to Charleston in 1990 and became a part of an established local building company where he learned the rigors and rewards of building. Paul worked on many projects across the Lowcountry, although the majority of the builds and renovations took place east of the Cooper.

1994 brought more opportunity when Paul became a licensed South Carolina builder and took the leap to create Jamme Carpentry. While the focus was interior trim, it was the perfect opportunity to expand his carpentry skills through a variety of residential applications. Word spread, and more renovations and additions soon followed. Since 2007, Paul has also worked as a project manager for a Mount Pleasant builder.

Jamme Construction, LLC was established in January 2010. Paul says, "I once read that only about one in ten people truly enjoys what he or she does for a living. I decided back in the eighties to do something I enjoy. For the past 23 years, I've grown from a carpenter's helper to a general contractor. I've learned a lot along the way - not least of which is that doing good work in a timely fashion builds excellent relationships. Most of all, it is truly satisfying to watch a project start, progress and finish well."

What clients are saying...

"We first met Paul when he was renovating a neighbor's home. The way he managed that job and his attention to the details impressed us enough to hire him to build our new house. He made the process easy and enjoyable. We always felt well informed as we moved from one phase to the next. We just don't feel like we could have gotten a better job from anyone else. We highly recommend Paul."

"During the construction of our new home on Daniel Island this past year, we could not have asked for a better project manager than Paul Jamme. Paul was a pleasure to work with. Our meetings with him throughout the construction process were positive and thoughtful and Paul was always available to meet with us when items came up during the construction of our house.

We asked for some changes as we selected the trim, cabinets, fixtures and other interior items as the job progressed. Paul's ideas, drawn from his many years in the business, proved invaluable, and helped us reach our goal in a very cost effective way. We liked the way he managed our job. He directed it from one phase to the next with confidence and purpose.

This is the fourth home we have built and none of the previous houses turned out as nice as this one. We moved in with no significant issues that needed attention from any of the subcontractors. We highly recommend Paul to anyone who is planning to build a house and needs a project manager to oversee the work."
